One of my friends at HOL needed a gargoyle, so this is what he got. :) The house I made for the early HOL Hogsmeade Project. An iris I painted from an excellent tutorial. The secret to this type of "portrait painting" is to start out with a photograph as your background, and build layers over it, eventually deleting the photo below. It helps with facial feature placement and the like. This one started out as a photograph of Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles in Star Wars), but of course I can't find that photo now :P 2nd Portrait, made for Stirry at HOL. I taught a class called "Magical Mysteries" with my dear friend Michael (Patrick Chaotica) at HOL.
